ABOUT THE GUEST:
Writer/director/producer Shaun Kosta broke onto the scene with his super stylish and slyly powerful debut feature, “The Republic of Two,” released in June by Gravitas Ventures. Kosta won the Chris Brinker Award for Best New Director and “The Republic of Two” played in competition at festivals worldwide. It’s a crazy-honest portrait of a twentysomethings couple that may make you wonder how the hell he got into your bedroom, at the bar with your friends or inside your head. It stars Janet Montgomery (“Salem,” “Entourage,” “Downton Abbey,” “Black Swan”) and Brent Bailey (“Think Like a Man,” “Emma Approved”), who with Kosta’s exceptional direction, deliver sometimes-heartbreaking and sometimes-hilarious performances that stick with you. Film Threat called it “The It-Movie of 2014.”
Shaun Kosta got his start as a working screenwriter directly out of UCLA, while also directing shorts and branded films. Before UCLA, he studied film production at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Kosta is developing new projects for film and TV, in addition to branded and immersive experiences.
